A colonel in the military, Sarah, her wife Maggie and son Fraser, are newcomers to the base in Italy where she has taken over as commander.

The younger brother of Craig, Sam is also Caitlin’s boyfriend and has an immediate dislike for Fraser.

A by-the-books military man, Richard is Jenny’s husband. He has a close bond with his daughter, Caitlin.

Maggie, a medical professional and member of the military, has accompanied her wife, Sarah, and her son Fraser to the Italian base now under Sarah’s command.

Jonathan is Sarah’s assistant on the U.S. Army base.

Mom of Danny and Caitlin and Richard's wife, Jenny hails from Nigeria and helps families find homes and settle in while living on the military base.

Fraser is a young high schooler from New York who comes to Italy with his mother, the new commander of an American military base. Never one to accept the status quo, he’s on a journey of self-discovery.

An Italian local, eighteen-year-old, Enrico is part of the group of friends Caitlin spends most of her time with before Fraser arrives.

Danny is Caitlin’s older brother and part of the friend crew with Craig, Sam and Britney. He’s exploring Islam while trying to connect to his hertiage.

Craig is a young soldier at the base, best friends with Danny and the older brother of Sam.

Richard and Jenny’s daughter, Caitlin instantly caught her new neighbor Fraser’s eye on the military base they both call home. The two became fast friends and together test the norms and endeavor to discover who they are in a changing world.

An outgoing and outspoken high school student, Britney was the first to welcome Fraser to the base. After showing him around, Britney brought him into the circle of friends with Caitlin.
