A transplant from Colorado, Patrick is a video game designer working at Most Dangerous Games and living in the Lower Haight. He’s something of a down-to-earth “boy next door” and likes spends his time hanging with buddies Dom and Agustín, panicking about having HIV, watching ‘The Golden Girls,’ and looking for love. Both Richie and his MDG boss, Kevin, have recently been love interests.

The charming thirtysomething — an old flame of Patrick’s — continues to work his way up at a barber shop.

The British video game whiz — who is a higher-up at Most Dangerous Games and has a boyfriend, Jon — recently took his professional relationship with Patrick to a much more personal level.

The good-natured Frank — Agustín’s ex-boyfriend — plays in a band and lives across the San Francisco Bay in Oakland.

Known as a “bear” in the gay community, Eddie works at a shelter for trans youth, is HIV-positive, and describes himself as “Saint Eddie, the hairy-ass mother of the Mission.” Agustín immediately takes a liking to him.

Dom’s roommate and oldest pal — they’re both from Modesto — is a nurse who’s always got a quip or a joke at the ready and spends a fair amount of time hanging out with Dom, Agustín and Patrick.

Career waiter Dom — a mainstay at Zuni on San Francisco’s Market Street — is anxious to move into the next phase of his life: that of a restaurant owner. After a successfully putting on a pop-up dining night, he’s eyeing a more permanent outpost for his culinary speciality. With Lynn at his side romantically, Dom lives with his fellow Modesto native and oldest friend Doris.

Patrick’s roommate and college pal Agustín is a free spirit and artist who’s in need of direction — professionally and personally — after his relationship with Frank ended and his job art-assistant job evaporated. The Cuban was raised in the Miami area and often looks to drugs and sex to help him through difficult times.
