LaToya is a 26-year-old black woman who went missing on July 23, 2019. She was last seen at  Red Lobster on Crenshaw and Century.

Molly’s childhood friend, Alejandro “Dro” Peña is happily married to Candice, who is also friends with Molly.

Rufus is LaToya’s over-the-top love interest who will do everything in his power to set the record straight on two things and two things only: he’s not LaToya’s boyfriend and he did, in fact, hit.

Well-meaning Frieda works with Issa at the non-profit youth organization ‘We Got Y’all.’

Molly meets Jared at an open-mic night. They have obvious chemistry, but Molly grapples with their differing educational backgrounds and career trajectories.
