Sara Fischer is a media reporter for Axios. Previously, she was a digital producer for The Washington Post, where she produced and edited segments for live and digital audiences. She came to The Post from The New York Times where she was part of The Times’ political advertising team. Fischer joined The Times from CNN in 2014, where she wrote breaking news stories for CNN Politics and co-authored the network’s political newsletter, Gut Check. Before joining CNN, Fischer served as a business development associate at Politico, where she helped manage sales operations and client engagement for the company’s advertising team. 

Mike Allen is a co-founder and executive editor of Axios. Mike was a co-founder of Politico where he started Playbook, the agenda-driving newsletter that led The New York Times Magazine to dub him “The Man The White House Wakes Up To.”

Margaret Talev is the White House & politics editor at Axios and a CNN political analyst. She oversees Axios' White House, politics and election coverage.

Kim Hart is the cities correspondent at Axios. She is the author of the weekly ​Axios Cities newsletter​ and covers the technology & market forces shaping our urban areas.

Jonathan Swan is the national political reporter at Axios and covers the Trump presidency and Republicans in Congress. He was the first to report that the U.S. would pull out of the Paris climate deal, the first to report that Trump would recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and the first to report that Trump would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals executive action policy.

Jim VandeHei is a co-founder and CEO of Axios. Jim launced Axios in January 2017 with Mike Allen and Roy Schwartz. Jim is a co-founder and former CEO of Politico, the digital media company that upended and revolutionized political and policy journalism in Washington and Europe.  Jim was the leading strategic mind behind its high-growth, high-impact and highly-scalable business model.    He was named one of the 100 leading information age thinkers in America by Vanity Fair and was awarded the 2015 Editor of the Year award by the National Press Foundation. Jim covered the presidency and politics for The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post before starting media companies. 

Ina Fried is the chief technology correspondent at Axios. Before joining Axios, Fried was a senior editor at Recode, where she covered mobile and served as producer of the Code/Mobile series of conferences. Prior to Recode, Ina covered mobile for All Things Digital where she also co-produced the D: Dive Into Mobile conference. She spent a decade at CNET where she covered, among other things, Microsoft and Apple. Prior to joining CNET in May 2000, she covered chips for Bridge News and was a writer at the Orange County Business Journal and Orange County Register.

Felix Salmon is the chief financial correspondent at Axios. He writes the weekly ​Axios Capital newsletter​ and covers all the ways that money drives the world.

Dion Rabouin is the markets editor at Axios and author of the ​Axios Markets newsletter​. He investigates the latest financial trends & shares crucial economic insights.

Dan Primack is business editor at Axios, and author of the daily Pro Rata newsletter, covering deals and deal-makers from Wall Street to Sand Hill Road. He also hosts the daily Pro Rata podcast, covering the collision of tech, business and politics. He’s based in Boston, and previously was a senior editor at Fortune and an editor-at-large with Reuters. 

Steve LeVine is the Future Editor at Axios. Prior to Axios, LeVine was Washington Correspondent for Quartz, the mobile-first startup launched in 2012 by Atlantic Media. Steve is also a Future Tense Fellow at the New America Foundation and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, where he teaches energy security in the graduate-level Security Studies Program. Previously, Steve was a foreign correspondent for 18 years in the former Soviet Union, Pakistan and the Philippines, running a bureau for The Wall Street Journal, and before that writing for The New York Times, the Financial Times and Newsweek. He is also an author of two books.

Amy Harder is an energy and climate reporter for Axios. Her coverage includes congressional legislation, regulations, lobbying, and international policy actions affecting the United States. Previously, she covered the same issues for The Wall Street Journal, based out of its Washington, D.C. bureau.   Harder is regularly sought out to speak and participate in energy events, including moderating and participating in panel discussions and giving speeches in Washington and throughout the country. She has appeared on television among other media outlets. Earlier in her career, Amy also covered energy and other issues for National Journal.

Alexi McCammond is a political reporter covering the 2018 midterms for Axios. She previously worked for Bustle, the leading website for millennial women. While there, she grew the site’s news and politics vertical, focusing on everything from reproductive rights to labor market trends to executive orders. Alexi reported from the DNC, the presidential debates, and President Trump’s inauguration for Bustle, filing stories and curating videos through the website’s Instagram. Alexi has appeared on MSNBC, Fox Business, WJLA, WNYC, among others. Before Bustle, she covered Marco Rubio’s campaign during the New Hampshire primary for the Sarasota Tribune. Alexi is a Chicago native now living in D.C. with her miniature schnauzer, Marlin.
