Episode 1
The Organized Crime Division seems to have control of London's streets until a spate of gruesome killings and maimings rocks Whitechapel. Buchan claims the crimes replicate those committed by the infamous Kray twins back in the 1960s. He tells Chandler the victims are chosen from those who gave evidence against the Krays and that they are killed in the manner of their testimony. Chandler suspects gangster Steven Dukes to be the killer, but after the former Kray associate is murdered, it seems as if a Krays copycat killer is on the loose.
Episode 2
After a man is shot in a former Kray haunt, a frustrated Miles informs Chandler that the copycat killer has struck again. A barmaid offers up a name - Jimmy Kray. The team are stunned when Jimmy's mother reveals a former relationship with Ronnie Kray, which resulted in identical twins - Jimmy & Johnny. The team finds the twins are genuine criminals when a meeting with them turns into a shoot out. Is there any way that Chandler will be able to bring down the Krays?
Episode 3
Chandler challenges Jimmy to a boxing match in order to obtain his DNA and with Buchan deftly stealing Ronnie's DNA from an old envelope, they attempt to see if the twins really are Ronnie's sons as their mother claims them to be. Will the DNA prove the twins are real successors to Ronnie, and will Chandler finally get his man?
Episode 1
DI Joseph Chandler and DS Ray Miles investigate the deaths of four people who were slaughtered at a tailor's fortified workshop, a gruesome and seemingly impossible crime that has left London's East End gripped with fear. Edward Buchan joins the detectives once again, hoping his historical expertise will help them solve the grisly case.
Episode 2
The case takes on an almost supernatural edge when a second mass murder occurs with no obvious signs of a break-in, no escape route and no forensics left at the scene. Chandler, Miles and the team unearth more about the infamous Ratcliffe Highway murders of 1811, hoping to avoid making the same mistakes and solve the case before further lives are lost.
Episode 3
Chandler and the team attend the christening of Miles' daughter, but soon find themselves dealing with a murder case when a fox runs through Whitechapel with a human arm in its mouth. More body parts from the same person are washed up from the Thames, but the detectives struggle to identify the victim.
Episode 4
Another torso is washed up from the Thames, this time at Putney Bridge, and Llewellyn finds traces of Spanish Fly, an aphrodisiac used by the infamous Marquis de Sade. The discovery propels Miles and the team into a world of dark obsessions, where romance and love take a sinister turn.
Episode 5
A dangerous patient and former Whitechapel resident escapes from a psychiatric unit around the same time a babysitter is murdered. With the area becoming the focus of a series of terrifying events in quick succession, Chandler's quest to bring in a suspect alive jeopardizes his relationship with Miles.
Episode 6
With the body count rising, Miles and Chandler clash over the direction of the investigation and struggle to put aside their differences in the face of their toughest adversary to date. Morgan Lamb is of particular interest to the team, having already survived the killer's wrath, and Chandler has a vested interest in keeping her alive.
Episode 1
Chandler, Miles and the team investigate the murder of a man crushed to death by stones. As the killer's macabre methods become clearer, a second body is discovered and the detectives suspect the executions are being carried out by a witch hunter. However, their progress is impeded as links to 20th-century espionage attract attention from the security services.
Episode 2
A connection to a 16th-century murder seems to confirm someone is killing witches in Whitechapel. Chandler is on the case, but is there a malign influence at work within the team? The police station itself appears to pulsate with unexplained phenomena and even Miles starts to ask questions.
Episode 3
Miles and Chandler's latest case takes them deep into the world of modern art after the discovery of a flayed human face at Whitechapel Gallery. Interpreting some Russian prison tattoos suggests a link to organized crime, but what is the significance of the mysterious footsteps heard in empty corridors at the police station? As the investigation progresses, the killer strikes again.
Episode 4
As the killer runs rings around the team, striking quickly and leaving coded messages at the crime scenes, Chandler and Miles start to question the motives behind the gruesome deeds. The investigation is then further hampered when a new eyewitness claims the murderer looks like an old lady.
Episode 5
The team is fearful when Buchan is kidnapped. With Miles taunted by an unknown force in the station, Riley's infected hand worsening, and Mansell teetering on the edge of self-destruction, Chandler takes the lead in an investigation into the discovery of a runner's disemboweled body in the sewers.
Episode 6
The hunt is on to find a gang of suspected cannibalistic killers lurking in the sewers before a missing girl becomes the next victim. The station is under attack and the forces of evil are moving against the team on all sides, and as the case takes a dangerously personal twist for Chandler, he must resort to desperate measures.
