Summer, Kind of Wonderful
As the summer draws to a close in the Hamptons, Serena and Nate have everyone fooled into thinking they are a couple to cover up the fact that Nate has been hooking up with a married older woman and Serena has been secretly mourning her breakup with Dan. Blair returns from abroad with a hot guy on her arm making a very jealous Chuck question his decision to leave Blair stranded at the heliport. Dan has spent the summer assisting a famous author but decides to head to the Hamptons to see how things stand with Serena after a summer spent apart.
Never Been Marcused
Blair is over the moon to be dating royalty and has every intention of becoming a royal herself but a scheming Chuck has other plans for Blair and her new love, Marcus. Serena and Dan agree to keep their recent hookups a secret from their friends and family until they figure out what it means for their relationship. Meanwhile, Nate learns the downside to having an affair with a hot older woman who is married.
The Dark Night
Serena and Dan are forced to deal with their unspoken problems while trapped in an elevator during a citywide blackout. In a humorous twist, Blair questions the lack of passion in her relationship with Marcus, while at the same time Chuck appears to have lost his "passion" for any woman other than Blair. Meanwhile, Nate struggles between his feelings for Vanessa and his more-complicated-by-the-day relationship with Catherine. Plus, Jenny risks losing her internship when Eleanor catches Jenny critiquing one of the Eleanor Waldorf designs.
When Serena notices that Dan has been cozying up to the new girl in school Amanda, the ever-loyal Blair and her minions decide to befriend Amanda and sabotage her budding new romance with "lonely boy." Plus, Vanessa discovers a scandalous secret about Catherine and enlists Blair's scheming expertise to use the information to help Nate. Meanwhile, Lily finds herself drawn back to her ex Rufus once again.
The Serena Also Rises
A furious Blair learns in the midst of Fashion Week that her mother at the suggestion of her protégé Jenny, has given Serena and her new socialite friend Poppy Lifton, front row seats to the Eleanor Waldorf show. Hurt once again by Serena's popularity and her mother's betrayal, Blair decides to sabotage the show. Meanwhile, Dan starts hanging out with Chuck and learns the hard way that a walk on the dark side always has its risks. Plus, Lily learns a secret that her new husband Bart has been keeping from her.
New Haven Can Wait
After Blair and Serena get into a fight, Serena decides to get even with Blair who has always dreamed of attending Yale University and ditches her plans to visit Brown University, accepting instead a personal invitation to visit Yale from the dean. Meanwhile, Dan discovers that none of his recommendation letters for Yale were ever submitted and frantically tries to figure out a way to salvage his chances of getting into the school. While on the Yale campus, Chuck is kidnapped by several members of the elite secret society based at the school and Nate hooks up with a co-ed.
Chuck in Real Life
Vanessa uses the scandalous picture of Catherine and Marcus to blackmail Blair into being a nicer person, so Blair seeks revenge by enticing Chuck to seduce Vanessa. Lily and Bart throw an extravagant housewarming party and expect their children to make them proud in front of the attending press, but a rebellious Serena isn't ready to play by their rules. Meanwhile, Dan and Jenny discover a big secret that Nate has been keeping from his friends.
Jenny befriends a young model who encourages Jenny to explore her wild side and to confront her boss, who is attempting to "borrow" Jenny's designs. Serena and Dan agree to attend an art opening at Rufus' gallery as friends but the outing gets a little uncomfortable after Serena meets an artist and realizes they have an instant chemistry. Meanwhile, Blair attempts to seduce Chuck but it proves tougher than she ever imagined.
There Might Be Blood
Serena invites Aaron to be her guest at a charity gala honoring Lily and Bart, but after discovering a secret that Aaron has been keeping from her she begins to question whether Aaron is the guy she thought he was. Hoping it will help her chances of getting into Yale, Blair naively agrees to babysit the 15-year-old daughter of a prominent Yale donor but the teenager proves to be more than a handful and Blair begins to suspect that the evening may actually wind up hurting her chances of getting into the college of her dreams. Meanwhile, Jenny and Agnes plan a guerilla fashion show that will either launch Jenny's line or ruin her chances of ever being accepted by the industry.
Bonfire of the Vanity
Blair does not approve of the new man in her mother's life so she makes it her mission to break up the lovebirds by any means necessary. Jenny moves in with Agnes as the friends move forward with their plans for a fashion line. Serena continues to fall for the new guy in her life, but she learns something about him that threatens to end things just as they are getting really good. Dan decides to win the trust of Bart Bass in order to learn more about the man and possibly write an exposé on him for Vanity Fair but things get heated after Chuck finds out the real reason Dan is spending so much time around his family.
The Magnificent Archibalds
Thanksgiving in the Waldorf household finds Blair upset that her mom's new boyfriend Cyrus has decided to ruin all her favorite traditions, but that's nothing compared to what will happen next. Lily finds herself trying to broker a peace treaty between Rufus and Jenny who is prepared to cut off all communication with her father if she doesn't get her way. Serena isn't quite ready to come clean with Aaron about her complicated past but Dan ends up accidentally revealing a few tidbits of his own. Blair and Chuck come to their friend's aid when Nate is once again forced to confront his father's abandonment. Finally, Eric discovers a secret that Bart has been keeping from Lily.
It's a Wonderful Lie
For the annual Snowflake Ball, Blair and Chuck make a bet that they can find the ideal dates for each other. Aaron's ex-girlfriend Lexi expresses an interest in Dan which in turn, creates conflicted feelings for Serena. Plus, Nate, Jenny and Vanessa get into a tangled situation that puts their friendships and hearts on the line.

In the Realm of Basses
Chuck's uncle, Jack Bass arrives on the Upper East Side to help Chuck pick up the messy pieces after his father's funeral but Chuck is MIA and Uncle Jack must find him. Trying her best to forget her last painful exchange with Chuck, Blair focuses her attention on being accepted into the most prestigious ladies club in the city, Colony Club. Meanwhile, Jenny returns to Constance Billard and immediately takes on Penelope and her posse of mean girls but no one is going down without a fight.
Gone with the Will
With the reading of Bart's will, Bart's brother Jack, Chuck and Lily learn the fate of the Bass empire. The relationship between Rufus and Lily is strained as Rufus seeks details about the child he never knew he had. Noticing that his father has been acting strangely as of late, Dan does some investigating and uncovers Rufus and Lily's secret, putting him in the awkward position of deciding what to do with this shocking revelation and who to share it with.
You've Got Yale!
It's that stressful time of year when the students of Constance Billard and St. Jude schools find out who is and isn't worthy of early admission to Yale University. Serena bonds with her new Shakespeare teacher, Rachel who is not the slightest bit aware of the wrath she is about to suffer after giving Blair the first B of her prep school career. Chuck pairs up with an unlikely ally in his war with Jack over Bass Industries. Plus, Nate and Vanessa spend a romantic evening at the opera.
In retaliation for her teacher not playing by the unspoken rules of Constance Billard, Blair comes up with a plan to bring her down. After Chuck wakes up in a hotel and only has a minor recollection of what happened the previous evening and who he spent the evening with, Nate and Vanessa try to help him fill in the missing pieces of what is turning out to be an increasingly intriguing mystery.
The Age of Dissonance
The senior students at Constance Billard and St. Jude put on a production of "The Age of Innocence" and find their personal lives mirroring conflicts in the play. Serena develops a crush on the play's director, Julian and enlists Vanessa's knowledge of theater to help her get the otherwise uninterested guy's attention. Blair receives devastating news about her future that leads her on a witch hunt for the person responsible. Dan and Rachel agree to stay away from each other in the aftermath of being discovered as more than teacher and student, but find it impossible to keep that promise. And Chuck enlists help from an unlikely source his nemesis, Carter Baizen.
Devastated by the recent plot twist in her life, Blair turns her back on her predictable Waldorf existence in favor of a wilder lifestyle, causing Serena and Chuck to have serious concerns about their friend. Vanessa convinces Nate that it may be time to forgive and forget when it comes to the Vanderbilts, his mother's Kennedyesque family, who abandoned Nate and his mother when they needed them most. Plus, in a misguided effort to be completely honest with each other, Lily and Rufus agree to share lists of their past lovers.
The Remains of J
Serena decides to throw Jenny an intimate party for her sixteenth birthday but things get way out of control when Poppy Lifton turns the small gathering into a huge social event. In a moment of weakness, Vanessa agrees to help Chuck with a scheme having to do with Blair and Nate. Meanwhile, Rufus learns that Dan will not receive financial aid at Yale and tries to figure out another way to cover the cost of his education.
Serena returns from her trip to Spain with Poppy and Gabriel. Blair makes a secret deal with Nate's grandfather, William and Nate learns some disturbing information about his father's arrest. Meanwhile, Dan takes a job as a cater-waiter to earn money for college but is distressed when he discovers the gig is a Passover Seder at the Waldorf penthouse, where several of his friends and family will be guests.
Southern Gentleman Prefer Blondes
Georgina returns to the Upper East Side after undergoing a major transformation. Chuck and Nate find themselves at a major crossroads in their friendship, a result of their mutual interest in Blair. And Serena finds her relationship with Gabriel growing more complicated.
The Wrath of Con
Blair pressures Georgina to help her in a scheme to make amends for her past bad behavior. The rivalry between Nate and Chuck over Blair comes to a head. And Lily hatches a secret plan to help Rufus with Dan's college tuition.
Flashback to the 1980s, before she became Lily van der Woodsen, 17-year-old Lily Rhodes is kicked out of boarding school and runs away to Los Angeles to reconnect with her parents, Rick and CeCe and her older sister Carol. Blair and Nate attend the prom together but the evening doesn't turn out exactly as planned, something Chuck may have a little to do with. And Serena and Lily don't see eye to eye over Serena's recent run-in with the law.
The Goodbye Gossip Girl
At the Constance Billard and St. Jude graduations, Gossip Girl livens things up by sending out a shocking and damaging email blast in the midst of the commencement ceremony, stirring Serena to come up with a plan of attack. The Mean Girls challenge Jenny to throw her hat in the ring to succeed Blair as Queen Bee next year and Lily and Rufus struggle to repair their relationship after Lily's betrayal.
Reversals of Fortune
The summer is drawing to a close. Blair and Chuck are madly in love and adjusting to their new "in a relationship" status but breaking all traditional rules of dating, as would be expected. Serena returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen. Nate returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley in tow. Rufus, Dan and Jenny spent the summer in the Hamptons, adjusting to the van der Woodsen's glamorous lifestyle surprisingly faster than any of them expected.
Blair, determined to maintain her Queen Bee status in college, embarks on her first day at NYU, along with Dan and Vanessa. Unfortunately, Georgina turns up as Blair's roommate in the dorms, determined to make Blair a social outcast. As Serena prepares to depart for Brown, she and Chuck have a major falling out so she recruits Chuck's enemy Carter to help her get even. Meanwhile, Nate and Bree decide to explore their relationship further, knowing full well it could cause tension between their families who are political rivals.
The Lost Boy
It's a bidding war on the Upper East Side. Blair and Chuck both set their sights on a particular item up for bid at Sotheby's and the personal stakes are high. Plus, Serena suspects that Carter may be up to his old habits. Georgina takes an interest in Dan. And Vanessa begins to suspect that something isn't quite right with Scott.
Dan de Fleurette
It's the first day of school at Constance Billard which means it's also time for Jenny to take her rightful place as the new Queen Bee. Unfortunately for Jenny Blair is more than happy to intervene when news reaches her that she may be needed back at Constance. Meanwhile, Lily returns home to Rufus and her family to find that things are definitely not as she left them. Plus a famous movie actress, Olivia Burke enrolls at NYU in hopes of having a somewhat normal college experience and is assigned to be Vanessa's roommate.
Rufus Getting Married
Lily and Rufus decide to move up their wedding to the next day but will someone or something come between them before they can become married? Chuck discovers a secret that Carter has been keeping from Serena. Dan and Vanessa are pulled into one of Georgina's schemes. Blair is suspect of Bree and shares her concerns with Nate.
Enough About Eve
Vanessa, hoping to finally win the approval of her mother, Gabriela, desperately vies with Blair for the honor of delivering the freshman toast at NYU but at what price? Dan invites Olivia to meet Rufus and Lily which leads to all sorts of problems for the new couple. Serena and Nate team up to help Carter Baizen.
How To Succeed In Bassness
In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck decides to move up his club's opening and enlists Serena's help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair attempts to win Chuck's approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia's infamous sex scenes with co-star, Patrick Robinson. Jenny is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric and her new role as Queen Bee. Plus Rufus gets Lily into the Halloween spirit.
The Grandfather: Part II
Olivia says something she regrets during an appearance on a talk show with host Jimmy Fallon and tries to keep Dan from finding out. With election day around the corner, Nate suspects his grandfather will stop at nothing to get Tripp elected to Congress. In the midst of another feud with Serena, Blair befriends a new It girl. In an effort to make Serena jealous, Blair takes her new friend to an election night party at Chuck's hotel.
They Shoot the Humphreys, Don't They?
Not satisfied with just being Queen of Constance Billard, Jenny sets her sights on becoming the queen of all the Upper East Side by landing the hottest escort for Cotillion. The Last Days of Disco Stick!
Hoping to impress the elitist theater kids at NYU, Blair sets her sights on landing a private concert with the hottest musical performer of the year, Lady Gaga. Dan and Olivia sign up to write and star in a school play based on an idea by Blair and directed by Vanessa. With Blair out of the picture, Serena turns to Nate to help her get through a difficult situation. As a favor to Chuck, Jenny agrees to hang out with Damian the son of an ambassador who is staying at Chuck's hotel but the experience proves to be a lot more intriguing than she expected.
The Treasure of Serena Madre
Blair suspects her mom has been keeping a big secret from her but it turns out to be something else entirely. Vanessa is supposed to spend Thanksgiving with her parents but has a fight with her mom and shows up on Dan's doorstep. Meanwhile, Rufus learns that Lily has been lying to him about her mother, Cece and Chuck tells Nate that he has some potentially damaging information about one of their friends. Jenny learns that Eric was behind her very public embarrassment at Cotillion and can't pass up a chance to get even. And Serena is put in a very awkward position when her mother invites Tripp and Maureen to join them for Thanksgiving dinner.

Meanwhile, a bogus lawsuit threatens to shut down Chuck's hotel and he suspects his uncle is behind it. Chuck's doubt that his mother may not be who she claims to be, could destroy their newly formed bond. Dan and Vanessa attempt to define the different "zones" of their relationship and Lily and Rufus try to trust one another.
The Empire Strikes Jack
Chuck once again finds himself at odds with his uncle, Jack Bass. Eleanor puts Blair in charge of making sure her latest fashion show is a huge success with an important client. Rufus attempts to get Jenny back on track by volunteering to have her help with Eleanor's fashion show but the opportunity takes a turn for the worse when Jenny learns that Agnes will be one of the models.
Chuck and Blair are faced with the most difficult decision they have ever faced as a couple. Serena plans a surprise birthday party for Nate but Jenny does her best to sabotage Serena's efforts. Meanwhile, Dan and Vanessa's new relationship hits a bump in the road.
The Unblairable Lightness of Being
Chuck offers to throw a wedding for a very pregnant Dorota who insists that she and Vanya have a traditional wedding before her parents arrive from Poland and find their daughter pregnant and without a husband. Dorota asks Blair and Chuck to be part of the ceremony and walk her down the aisle. Serena tells Nate she is having breakfast with the Humphreys when in reality she is secretly meeting up with Carter Baizen. Rufus discovers that Lily has been lying to him about her whereabouts.
When Lily's ex-husband Dr. William van der Woodsen shows up unexpectedly in Manhattan, Serena finally gets the reunion with her father she has so desperately wanted but the circumstances turn out to be far from ideal. Meanwhile, Serena and Nate continue to have relationship issues and a scheming Jenny is more than happy to be a shoulder for Nate to lean on. Dan finds out that he didn't get accepted into the Tisch writing program and Vanessa admits she may have been somewhat responsible.
It's A Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad World
Will's return to the Upper East Side continues to stir up problems for Serena, Lily and Will's long-standing rival, Rufus. The relationship between Serena and Jenny is strained as a result of Jenny's deception. Blair spends time on the Columbia campus and realizes where she truly belongs. And Dan learns that Vanessa has been keeping yet another secret from him.
Ex-Husbands and Wives
When things get tense between Rufus and Will, Serena chooses to stand behind her father while Rufus is made to feel like an outsider within his own family. Meanwhile, Jenny deliberately shares information with Will that may ultimately destroy Lily and Rufus' marriage. And after many failed attempts, Chuck makes one last grand gesture to reconcile with Blair hoping she will finally accept the fact that they are destined to be together.
Last Tango, Then Paris
Blair must decide whether to meet Chuck at the top of the Empire State Building or risk losing their future together. A Gossip Girl gossip bomb involving Dan explodes Serena and Nate's relationship. Dorota and Vanya welcome their baby. Jenny hits rock bottom. And Georgina returns to the Upper East Side with an agenda.
Belles de Jour
Blair has spent a fabulous summer in Paris without realizing Chuck has been shot. Yet as much as Blair tries to distract herself from the pain Chuck caused her by sleeping with Jenny Humphrey, his mysterious appearance in Paris with a beautiful new woman will force both of them to face what happened. Serena has been enjoying a Parisian summer of love with boys, Blair and Balenciaga as she tries to avoid the inevitable decision about which of her two longtime beaus, Dan or Nate, she should return to. Meanwhile back on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Nate meets an intriguing girl who helps him realize that his summer of sexual conquests was his way of avoiding his unresolved feelings for Serena.
Living out a real-life fairytale in Paris, Blair is pursued by a handsome young man whom Blair suspects is a member of Monaco's royal family. A very concerned Lily asks Serena to help her find Chuck, who hasn't been heard from or seen in months. Meanwhile, Chuck Bass is as we've never seen him before adjusting to a fresh start in Paris with a mysterious new woman, Eva at his side. And Juliet offers to help Nate win Serena back, suggesting that by reigniting the romance between Dan and Vanessa, it may remove Dan from the Dan-Serena-Nate love triangle.
On her first day at Columbia, Blair attempts to gain membership into an ultra-exclusive social club, Hamilton House, but she's in for a few big surprises. Serena begins to suspect that her life is being intentionally sabotaged by Juliet and that it may have something to do with Nate. Meanwhile, Rufus is worried about Dan and decides to take matters into his own hands.
Touch of Eva
Nate suspects that Juliet is keeping a big secret from him and decides to confront her. Blair schemes to undermine Chuck's newfound happiness. Dan finds himself torn between his feelings for Serena and Vanessa.
An anonymous Gossip Girl blast starts a very damaging rumor about one of Columbia's new students, Serena. On her path to greatness, Blair decides to take a class with a powerful businesswoman who is a guest lecturer at Columbia but a mysterious fellow student thwarts her plans to secure the prized position as Martha's assistant.
Although Blair made it perfectly clear that Little J was no longer welcome in Manhattan after what happened with Chuck, Jenny is tempted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Tim Gunn which could be a game changer for her future. Meanwhile, Serena discovers something about her new boyfriend, Colin that may put an end to their relationship just as it was getting good.
War at the Roses
Blair is caught off-guard and not in a good way by a surprise guest at her birthday party. Having had enough of Chuck and Blair's games, Serena and Nate decide to plan an intervention.
Juliet Doesn't Live Here Anymore
Chuck and Blair decide it's in both of their best interests to put the past behind them and end their vindictive games. Nate confronts Juliet after discovering a secret she has been keeping from everyone. Dan and Nate realize they both still have feelings for Serena.

Chuck hosts a "Saints and Sinners" masquerade party at the Empire Hotel. At the party, Dan and Nate don't know what to make of Serena's strange behavior and mixed messages. Blair sets her sights on becoming the new face of Anne Archibald's foundation for girls, but Anne is concerned that Blair's friendship with Chuck Bass may be problematic.
Chuck, Serena, Blair, Dan, Jenny and Eric find themselves faced with a crisis when a member of one of their families is hospitalized. Meanwhile, Nate attempts to help his parents put their complicated past behind them and reconcile.
Blair and Dan join forces to track down Juliet who is missing in action. Meanwhile, Chuck begins to suspect Lily isn't telling him the full truth.
The Kids Are Not All Right
A former associate of Chuck's father Russell Thorpe along with his daughter Raina, returns to Manhattan with some unfinished business for our Upper East Siders. Serena and Chuck join forces against Lily and Blair realizes that her mother, Eleanor may be the key to her becoming a future CEO. Meanwhile, Nate worries that his father is having a little too much fun and not taking his parole seriously.
Blair is ecstatic to land an internship at W magazine but the thrill quickly fades when she finds out that Dan has secured one of the coveted positions as well. Chuck may have finally met his match now that Russell Thorpe and his daughter Raina are back on the Upper East Side. Meanwhile, Nate receives alarming news about his father's business prospects.
Blair enlists Nate's help to win over her high-strung boss, Epperly at W magazine. Meanwhile, Damien stirs up more drama on the Upper East Side and Chuck finds himself torn between business and pleasure.

With Russell Thorpe poised for a takeover attempt of Bass Industries, Chuck makes one last-ditch effort to save his family's company. Meanwhile, Blair is given a challenging assignment at W magazine with the promise of a possible promotion and Serena struggles with her feelings for Ben
While You Weren't Sleeping
It wouldn't be a proper Upper East Side party without some major Gossip Girl drama and for Eric's 18th birthday celebration there is plenty to go around. Blair decides to speed up the time table on her career path to becoming a powerful woman but ultimately stretches herself too thin. Serena is forced to choose between her family and Ben. And Chuck and Lily's relationship remains icy in the aftermath of Lily's betrayal.
Empire of the Son
Ben's mother comes to town, forcing issues to the surface between Ben and Serena. Meanwhile, Russell Thorpe is determined to destroy Chuck's family legacy but he risks alienating his daughter Raina in the process.
The Kids Stay in the Picture
As Lily awaits the consequences of her decision, William van der Woodsen, CeCe and Lily's sister, Carol come into town to support her and be part of a Taschen photo shoot on "modern royalty" in which the Rhodes family is participating. Unbeknownst to Carol who has always chosen to keep her daughter Charlie far away from the Upper East Side, Charlie has followed her to New York to meet Serena and the rest of the family. Meanwhile, Blair has an epiphany about her future and grapples with the knowledge of whom she's destined to be with.
Petty In Pink
Serena enlists Charlie to go undercover, Gossip Girl-style to determine why Dan and Blair are spending so much time together and what role an unexpected visitor is playing in their lives. Meanwhile, with Nate's help Raina decides to go on a search for her long-lost mother and Chuck's hopes about his legacy are dashed with the reveal of devastating information from the past.
The Princesses and the Frog
Blair's dreams appear to be coming true but Serena threatens to jeopardize it all by dredging up Blair's past. Charlie befriends Vanessa, who may or may not have a hidden agenda. Nate is torn between his relationship with Raina and a truth he must keep hidden out of loyalty to Chuck.
Charlie is finally starting to feel less like a fish-out-of-water with Serena and her friends but complications present themselves when Charlie is invited to attend the Constance Billard alumni fundraiser. On the road to "happily ever after," Blair finds herself torn between the men in her life. Jack Bass' return to the Upper East Side sets off a chain of events that could end up destroying Chuck and those closest to him.
