The disappearance of former college acquaintance Chantal leads several 20-somethings to get entangled in the mystery of how she went missing. Leading the search party is Dory, a lifelong doormat who works as a rich housewife's assistant. Dory makes it her personal mission to find Chantal and she's bringing her friends into the investigation with her. Self-diagnosed narcissist Elliott, who puts his ego aside to help Dory, is particularly good at detective work. Bubbly actress Portia excels at chatting up suspects for information because of her desperate need to be in the spotlight. Sheltered Drew has to grow a spine to help solve the mystery and save his deteriorating relationship with Dory. Dory's ex-boyfriend Julian seeks the truth because of his background as a journalist.

Alia Shawkat will star opposite Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow in the upcoming FX on Hulu series The Old Man. Her recent feature credits include starring roles in the independent drama Animals opposite Holliday Grainger, and Blaze, the Ethan Hawke–directed indie biopic about country and western songwriter Blaze Foley. In 2018, she starred in the independent film Duck Butter, which she co-wrote with Miguel Arteta and executive produced alongside Arteta and the Duplass Brothers. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where she was awarded Best Actress in a U.S. Narrative Feature Film. Shawkat is well known for her role as Maeby Fünke on Fox’s Emmy® Award–winning cult comedy series Arrested Development, which returned for two additional seasons on Netflix.
John Early is a comedian who can be seen on At Home with Amy Sedaris, Wet Hot American Summer, 30 Rock, Broad City, Love, and Portlandia, among other series. He wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed miniseries 555 for Vimeo and wrote, executive produced, and starred in his own episode of Netflix's The Characters. This past summer, he directed the off-Broadway run of Jacqueline Novak’s critically acclaimed show Get on Your Knees.
Meredith Hagner’s performance as Portia has been hailed as “brilliant” by Vanity Fair. Hagner can be seen as the co-lead of the new Quibi series Dummy opposite Anna Kendrick. She will next be seen in Vacation Friends with John Cena for 20th Century Fox and Hulu, and Palm Springs opposite Andy Samberg.
John Reynolds is an actor and performer trained at the iO Theater in Chicago. He has a recurring role as Officer Callahan on Netflix’s award-winning series Stranger Things. Reynolds was most recently seen opposite Alison Brie and Molly Shannon in the Netflix original film Horse Girl, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. He will next be seen starring in the survivalist romantic comedy Save Yourselves!, to be distributed by Bleecker Street following a successful Sundance premiere. He has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, where he was among the New Faces in 2014; the SF Sketchfest; and with The Second City Touring Company.
