A family vacation takes a bloody detour in this unrelenting remake of Wes Craven's 1977 cult horror film. Cutting across the desert on vacation, Bob Carter and his family try an ill-advised shortcut. Big mistake. Stranded and out of cell-phone range, the family soon find themselves under attack by cannibalistic mutants whose shocking deformities stem from nuclear testing.
