The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special

Educating kids and their grownups about standing up and speaking out against racism, The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special finds Gabrielle and Tamir excited to share all that they’ve learned in their “Power of We” group meeting about making the world a better and more tolerant place. During their virtual playdate, they teach Elmo and Abby Cadabby the group’s inspiring chant and sing about the importance of speaking up when you hear or see someone being treated unfairly. Afterwards, the friends invite Gordon, Alan, and Yara Shahidi to the “Power of We” virtual singalong, where their community will unite against racism. Together they make chalk drawings and signs that spread positivity before monsters of all colors, shapes, sizes, and ages join forces to stress that when we use our voices against injustice, we have the power to make things better.
