Planet of the Apes (HBO)

Director Tim Burton's eye-popping remake of the 1968 cult classic stars Mark Wahlberg as an astronaut who finds himself on a mysterious planet ruled by apes. Thrown into captivity with other humans, the plucky spaceman puts together a plan to escape with the help of a liberal chimp (Helena Bonham Carter). Tim Roth co-stars as the brutal simian leader.
