HBO MAX STUDENT DISCOUNT

These student discount terms and conditions (the “Student Discount Terms”) apply to the student discount offer to get access to the HBO Max Basic With Ads monthly plan for 50% off the regular price (currently resulting in a discounted rate of $4.99 per month) for up to 12 months (the “HBO Max Student Discount”); this discount offer is referred to in these Student Discount Terms as the “Program”. These Student Discount Terms apply in addition to the HBO Max Terms of Use, and the HBO Max Privacy Policy, each of which are incorporated into these Student Discount Terms by reference. By claiming an HBO Max Student Discount, you agree to be bound by these Student Discount Terms, including without limitation, the arbitration agreement and class action waiver included in Section 5.4 of the HBO Max Terms of Use.

In order to be eligible for the HBO Max Student Discount you must (i) be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or certain U.S. territories as set forth in the HBO Max Terms of Use who is eighteen (18) years of age or older; (ii) be currently enrolled in a Title IV-accredited college or university in the United States in an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or advanced degree program, (iii) have your student status verified by the authorized verification service (currently, Unidays) (“Verification Service”), and (iv) meet all other Eligibility Criteria for the HBO Max platform as defined in the HBO Max Terms of Use (collectively, the “Student Requirements”). You will need an account with the Verification Service to verify your student status. If you do not have such an account, you can create one for free at https://www.myunidays.com/US/en-US/account/register. By creating a Verification Service account, you will be subject to the Verification Service Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please note, you acknowledge and agree that student status verification information will be shared between HBO Max and the Verification Service in order to validate student status. We reserve the right to determine your eligibility to receive the HBO Max Student Discount in our sole discretion.

Once verified, eligible students will receive a promotional code from the Verification Service that can be redeemed for the HBO Max Student Discount for up to 12 months from the date that the code is redeemed (“Discount Period”). To use the code and activate the Discount Period, follow the instructions from the Verification Service. All codes must be redeemed via hbomax.com/redeem before the code expires.

Your access to the HBO Max Student Discount will only continue during the Discount Period for the duration of the Program, so long as you continue to meet the Student Requirements and complete the verification process by the deadlines communicated to you by HBO Max and/or the Verification Service. If you no longer meet the Student Requirements , or the Discount Period ends, the HBO Max Student Discount will end and your subscription will automatically convert to a regular priced subscription to the Basic With Ads plan and will automatically renew each month at the then-current subscription price for the Basic With Ads monthly plan (currently, $9.99/mo. plus applicable tax), on a recurring basis, unless you cancel before the conversion or the renewal. To cancel your subscription, see Subscription in your HBO Max account. If you switch plans during your Discount Period, you will lose the benefit of the HBO Max Student Discount. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to HBO Max until the end of your then-current billing period.

The HBO Max Student Discount is only available in the U.S. Your HBO Max Student Discount is for your individual use only. You may not transfer or assign your HBO Max Student Discount to anyone else. Each HBO Max Student Discount code can be redeemed only once and cannot be combined with any other promotional or free trial offer for HBO Max. The HBO Max Student Discount is only valid on the HBO Max Basic With Ads monthly plan. The HBO Max Student Discount is not valid on any other HBO Max plan or any HBO Max bundle plan offers or add on subscriptions.

HBO Max may modify the HBO Max Student Discount (including by changing the price) or these Student Discount Terms, or discontinue the Program, in whole or in part, at any time, including before your Discount Period ends, with notice via email to your email address currently on file with HBO Max.

If HBO Max amends these Student Discount Terms, it will revise the “last updated” date located at the top of these Student Discount Terms and HBO Max may send you a notice via email to your email address currently on file with HBO Max. If you continue to participate in the Program by viewing or interacting with HBO Max content or logging into your HBO Max account after these Student Discount Terms have been changed, you will be deemed to have read, understood and unconditionally consented to and agreed to such changes. The most current version of these Student Discount Terms will be available on the HBO Max website and will supersede all previous versions of these Student Discount Terms.
